A Busy Month Ahead!

What I thought was going to be a very quiet month, has turned out to be a very busy month indeed!
First of all, here is a picture of my latest jewellery design, made with the customer's brief of 'Pink!'. It turned out lovely, and as a little birthday treat for herself, it's a gift to treasure!

I've gathered together some buttons for a black button necklace, I wanted to make something that would be wearable on a night out, with a little black dress or to add a pretty little detail to a simple saytime outfit. I'm also going to be making another cream/ivory necklace to match the Classic Chic Bouquet in the next few days.

I can't give too much information away just yet as I want to announce properly when it happens, but there's a special reason I'm making a necklace to match this particular bouquet. Let's just say I'm looking forward to projecting my business to more brides in a very beautiful local shop!

I recently sold one of my vintage rings to a lovely lady, and have recently acquired some more beautiful old buttons to add to the jewellery collection.

This month I'll also be busy beginning the orders for the two weddings I have in August this year, two very different styles but equally beautiful and fun to make. The gorgeous brides to be have let me have a lot of free reign over the designs and I'm really excited to get stuck in and let my creativity grow as I make each of them some beautiful bridal bouquets and buttonholes.

Also, to top this all off I'll be looking to move house some time in the next month or so, it's looking to be a very productive and busy Spring this year!

Vintage Buttons, Tasty!

I have a whole new level of love for Hotel Chocolat after discovering these beauties during a recent Chester trip......it would be rude not too, wouldn't it? Chocolate vintage buttons....need I say more!?

"THE STORY...We researched old buttons from the 1700s, 1800s and early 1900s and became so absorbed that we bought our own collection. Inside you'll find a selection of buttons that best highlight the great skill and artistry that was put into the huble button."

Beautiful and delecious, I would be happy with a box of these every month, for the rest of my life!

The Cinderella Bouquet

Taking inspiration from Disney, the ballet and princess brides, I created this bouquet to be my most dainty so far.

Just in time for valentines day, I have used 12 pink roses (made from a very realistic foam to last forever). The roses are sat in a bed of buttons, diamonds, beads and pearls and finished off with a delicate wire and fabric butterfly.

This delicate bouquet is surrounded by white feathers which add a dramatic finish whilst contrasting the solidarity of the pearls and buttons perfectly. The stem has been wrapped with a pink silk ribbon to match the roses.

A bouquet made to be a similar design to this will cost around £100.
